Time Waits

Time Waits By: Alexis Aslan

Time waits for no one s it travels across the universe, hoping to catch
A glimpse of its waves, circling to completion.

Time travels on, catching lives loved and lives lost,
Circling through waves of nothingness, waiting.

Time loves to watch people dancing, enjoying themselves,
Living life and the time it brings with it.

Time digs down deep into the waves of life bringing out of it
Ways to keep going…as it waits.

  1. Indeed a brilliant summary of time..although you might have missed out the part about time being irreversible.

"Today will be tomorrow's history in a blink of an eye."

  2. I have followed your block.. Although it seems that my profile picture no longer exists.. LOL.

    Haha, I'll update that later.

But on to more pressing issues... I do like this piece the best, it summarizes what time means to me, and to many others who knows how value it.

  3. I also love this poem, Alexis. I had no clue you had this out here until I stumbled across it on PH. I'm glad I found it. :)

I know I once wrote a poem on time. I think my favorite line in it was "We all look forward to tomorrow even though yesterday shall always follow." I wrote it when I was in the 8th grade for my "parent book". Long story not for here.
