The Light By: Alexis Aslan
The world around me crumbles in the multitude, the emmanent light
Laid before me. What can I see but the light?
It taunts me, haunts me, as it calls out to me. I lay there listening to the call.
It begs me to follow it, to never cease or try to understand.
It is light and I upon the multi-colored streams. A prism full of joy, grace, and mercy. I feel safe and I feel loved.
I am light; the force of warmth that beckons to be free. I let go.
Suddenly I am plunged into darkness. Yet,
I am the light; I can still see that which shines through the darkness,
Encompassing everything!
Now I am the moon illuminating the darkest of nights.
I initiate the call,
“Come share in my light. I am light, as are you.”
